Language, Young Lady

Everybody! Things have been in Dutch here for a while, had you noticed yet? Let me explain: I wrote some things which were important for the Greater Good, about sexual violence, mostly, and I did so in Dutch because it was relevant here in my own country at the time. You’d be surprised how many people just won’t read things in English. But then some of what I wrote was picked up by Flemish media and a bunch of people rushed to the blog and I got involved with the things I wrote about some more and I thought it was a good idea to continue in Dutch, you know, to be consistent and have a better reach in the area where I was actually trying to do some relevant things. Am I ranting? I’m ranting. #sorry?

BUT! Things are heavy, I want to have fun and not be burried in crappy world-going-to-hell shit all the time. I don’t want that responsibility, or rather: I don’t want to become it. Besides, and more importantly: this blog started out as my writer hub. A place for me to put my fiction and poetry and random life-musings. A place to get creative. It was never supposed to have a primary focus on social activism. I did not create this place so influential people would see it, local media would follow it, random people would use it as an example to Live by. I’m returning her to her original purpose: Creative Outlet Divine. ❤  That also means I am returning her to English so everyone can actually follow what the hell is happening. AND YES, MY BLOG IS A “SHE”,DAMMIT.

Anyway, extra surprise for you all: I have also revived the Music in Me, and what better way to share that with you than through video. Hence the from now on regularly active Youtube channel. Celebrate! There will be covers, some originals, the occasional vlog in which I will also talk about the blog and writing-related things.  Go on, check that baby out, and give us some subscription love if you like what you see so far. Let me even give you a bonus video with this post, just because I love you and want to apologise straying from the true purpose of this place. You can skip to 3 minutes for the actual song if you care donkeyballs about me rambling on about it first.
